China, Anonymouse and Human Rights

After Anonymouse has been used gladly by citizens and tourists in China to improve their informational self-determination ("the right of the individual to decide what information about himself should be communicated to others and under what circumstances", Westin, 1970), Anonymouse has been fallen victim to the XXIX. Even though China may have won the most gold medals, China ranks last place in human rights once more. Sadly, the announced improvements for human rights have not come true due to the Games in Peking.

Anonymouse regrets this. We were glad to support people in China in their needs of informational self-determination. Naturally we will make an effort to do this again in future, because anonymity in the internet is a basic right for the operators of Anonymouse, which each citizen world-wide should be entitled to.
